I've read the past threads on Pagoda, but I wouldn't mind hearing some views from current Pagoda teachers. Anyone out there? |

I had a really long interview with one of them, just 2 weeks ago . I can't offer much since I didn't accept the offer, but from what I gathered...you don't have to worry about pay and the typical hagwon BS...but you will work crazy split shifts, pay your own housing...AND I'LL TELL YOU...the pay was terrible...and they left no room to compromise. You can do much better for pay, especially after you have to pay your own housing...LOOK ELSEWHERE...trust me...you'd be living like a pigeon. Oh and you'll love this...you get like $2 an hour for a week of "training" That's just a slap in the face. |

Pagoda is an Adult school and if you enjoy being tired all the time from split shifts, I guess this is the right place for you. The fact is, most people have privates and working at an adult school does give you alot of energy to do any type of work when you get done at 11:00 at night.
I would suggest to veer away from Pagoda, ELS YBM, or anything else that will suck away any of your spare time to really enjoy Korea. |
