60% of High Schools Inflating Grades
More than 60 percent of 1,252 high schools around the country have inflated students' grades in 12 major subjects such as English and math.
The new college admission system will give more weight to high school grades than to the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT).

My high school is trying its best to stick to the 15% 90-100% rule but let me tell you it's damn difficult to do when in a class of 20 students you might have 6-7 who have lived overseas for an extensive period of time and speak English very well.
These midterms I slashed and burned my way through and lowered it to about 18% with an average grade of 68%. I also had 40% get less than 50%. Unfortunately as it stands at the present the classes aren't graded by ability though I understand that this is the plan for next year. |
