I literally just started teaching Korean businessmen at a company. I take my job seriously but I am at amazed at how funny their mistakes in the learning curve can be.
For example: The other morning when I asked one of the students, "What did you do this morning?" He said innocently, " I rode my wife." (of course he meant he drove her to work).
I have a feeling it just gets better and better. Just wondering what your stories of comic relief in the classroom are, maybe to prevent future outbursts of laughter. So much to learn about this gig...

A few years ago I taught the city hall employees of a small town in Jeollanamdo. One young woman could not distinguish between p and f no matter had hard she tried. One day we were doing a lesson on body parts which she innocently referred to as body "farts".
Lame. I know. |

I asked a Korean middleschool english teacher what he did on the weekend.
"I went to the bathroom." |

I always get a chuckle out of my adult students who tell me "I played with my friends", or even better "I played with myself" over the weekend. |
