Can anyone tell me more about this?

This is what I know so far.. he's married to a Korean women who he met in Los Angeles. She was studying Art, and had an exhibition in L.A.

Her father is the Program Director of KBS. Her family lives in Cheju-do.

The two of them were living together in L.A., and then eventually got married, and now have two kids.

This weekend Wesley Snipes has an interview and tv program on Saturday night, about his life.. interviewed in Korea, etc. Also, he is currently at Lotte Hotel as a guest this weekend.

I don't know much else about him and his Korean wife.. anyone else have any more details?

Wesley Snipes knuckled under to the demands of the mother of two of his children, marrying her in a brief civil ceremony with only one friend in attendance, The ENQUIRER has learned.

The "Blade II" star had dated Korean-born painter Nakyung "Nikki" Park for more than three years and lived with her at his gated Alpine, N.J., home. Friends say he made their relationship legal only after the 29-year-old divorcee gave him an ultimatum.

"She wanted him to marry her and make her two kids with him 'legitimate,' said a friend. "They had been feuding about this for some time. He finally gave up and said yes.

"It was a basic, 'take it or leave it' thing. He took her down to the courthouse and he married her -- the poor woman didn't even get a chance to walk down the aisle.

"And he didn't promise her a honeymoon, either."

Snipes and his girlfriend married at the courthouse in Hackensack, N.J., on March 17, according to a Bergen County court document obtained by The ENQUIRER.

A Bergen County courthouse employee who eyewitnessed the wedding told The ENQUIRER:

"The ceremony was strictly by-the-book.

"They were trying to be discreet. They were wearing everyday clothes, there was no photographer, no video, no crowds of friends.

"No one even recognized him.

"The only witness with them was an acquaintance of Snipes, a local lawyer named John Carbone, and they had to use a court employee as their second witness.

"It wasn't exactly what you'd expect from a rich celebrity."

Snipes and Park have two children together -- a son and a daughter.

"She's a sweet, lovely lady," the friend said. "In a moment of weakness, he gave in to her.

"But he didn't exactly show her a great wedding."

I seen a story about a week ago that he was in Cheju-Do.

Must have made it up to Seoul.

I asked my wife about it and she didn't know about him being married to a Korean, which seems kind of odd to me, you know him being "famous" and all.

Pretty interesting.. hmm.. I probably misunderstood the LA part.. NY (NJ) makes much more sense.. especially since she was an art student or artist or whatever.. thats a much more NY thing.. whereas LA she'd be a struggling actress or something..

Anyhow, interesting.. I didn't even know about this until a week ago.. I mean, that they were even married to begin with..

My wife just told me she watched the Snipes interview today.

I guess after some basic questions Wesley decided to ask a question to the reporters.
Q: Wesley
"Why are you guys interested in me? Is it because I am an actor or is beacause I am a black man married to a Korean woman?"
A: Total silence

The interview was only about half way through at this point and according to my wife continued normally.

I wonder if ole Wes got a few too many stares or rude comments during his travels here?

Movie star Wesley Snipes (R) poses as his South Korean wife Park Na-kyong looks on upon their arrival at an airport in Cheju island of South Korea June 14, 2003. Snipes arrived in South Korea on Saturday by private plane to visit his wife's relatives. According to a local newspaper, the couple has a son of three years and a daughter of two years. on a different note..
ACTOR Wesley Snipes' $2.6 million home in Florida has been sold for less than half its worth after the star lost a foreclosure battle.

The home was sold for $966,000, despite his insistence he was not responsible for a $1.1 million mortgage he said was sealed with a forged signature in 1993.
Snipes had tried for months to block the sale of the three-bedroom, five-bath house, saying he knew nothing about the foreclosure until media reports.

"For six years, funds were extracted from my account to make monthly payments on property that I was under the impression had been paid off," he said.

Snipes has filed a request to stop the title transfer and a court hearing is scheduled for June 25.

I watched clips of the snipes interview on SBS last night including the question Twister mentioned. He certainly didn't come across as loving the place, but didn't seem to hate it either. I wouldn't be surprised if he bumped into some racism.

If i were wesley snipes i would have:
1. used protection
2. that failing get her an abortion
3. that failing, dump her and get a new chick
4. that failing, paid her some money so she'd shut up and leave me alone

he got himself into this mess, never marry a korean until you know what you're getting into.

It's these kinds of blanket statements that annoy me.

Dan, you seem to have a lot of hatred towards Korean women (and men). So why are you still in Korea?

That's funny. I'm interested to see your remaining arguments when you realize Dan is gyopo and a no longer in Korea.

Are you serious???

Now I am beginning to understand what someone was saying about "Kyopos with chips on their shoulders"...

Dan... what gives. Why the hate and negativity?

you misunderstand where i'm coming from.

now he's forced into a marriage he obviously didn't want, and you can imagine all his newfound korean relatives aren't exactly appreciative of him. chances are, he didn't even want to come to korea except he is married to one. i believe for the most part, and i know in many cases this isn't true, koreans carry a lot of baggage into a marriage, so now wesley snipes has to deal with it. thus my original statement, never marry a korean unless you know what you are getting yourself into.
