Anyone have any suggestions on fun Halloween related activities? Halloween was always kind of a non-event for me.

My director asked me for some suggestions for an activity day we're having on the 28th. We generally have an hour block with four or five stations with student groups rotating every 10 minutes or so.

So far I've been thinking about:

- a quiet station (wordsearch / mask / jack o'lantern design)

- two low-organised games (relay games or such)

What are you planning at your school, if anything? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

My School is a bit bigger, we're doing a Haunted House, and a games room and trick and treating. Games such as Three legged race are easy to prep..

I googled "halloween games" last night and got pages of answers. www.benjerry.com/halloween had different games and puzzles and stuff. Everyone seems to have different sized groups and different levels to cater to, but a look through some of the pages should give you something to work with.

-lots of word finds and puzzles for the quiet activities, colouring for the young'uns

- mummy wrap was a popular choice - the teams race to cover a team member with toilet paper - the first team to use the whole roll wins. That could get messy though.

-guess the icky thing in the bag - peeled grapes for eyes; old, slightly soft carrot for nose; cooked spaghetti noodles for innards - get creative.

- guess the ghost under the sheet or the witch's nose through the sheet.

- pin the wart on the witch, the nose on the witch, the mouth on the jack-o-lantern...
