A heads up, the bozos at the AFN have decided NOT to show the World Series on AFN-Korea. Sun they are showing Auburn-LSU and during the week they are showing the usual AM crap of Dr Phil et al. I emailed them asking why but got no response
They should have the rights as AFN Sports is showing it and they have shown it every year I have been here even when a Korean channel has shown it and they showed the All-Star game this year and that was on a Korean channel at the same time.
Your options are XSports if you want Korean commentary or stream tv if you can get a subscription for the FOX sports feed |

NO WAY...OH WAIT I DON'T CARE..!!!!
They have split up the divisions so much that just about everyone gets in the playoff....read (mo' money). Interdivisional play during the regular season???? WTF
The boys of September have become the boys of almost November.
Gawd I used to be baseball freak....now could give a small rodents posterior. sigh.

Stop blaming AFN and consider the possibility that they aren't allowed to show it.
In fact, don't just consider it.
MLB likely either has a contract with a PAYING Korean channel, of doesn't want to upset its currently lucrative online streaming TV revenue associated with the game. I know Koreans who pay more per month to get MLB streamed on their laptop than they do for their entire cable bill!
It's all about the money, and airing it on AFN means they can't make any money in the Korean market. |

I've actually come to prefer watching the games with Korean commentary (which I mostly dont understand). Focuses your attention on the game instead of the announcers' chatter.
Could be a classic series -- both teams are really hungry for a championship. Great pitching matchups too.
I think I'd like to see old Roger Clemens & crew pull it off. |

no AFN have rights to the MLB international feed, its mentioned on the MLB website. AFN made the decision not to carry the games on the AFN prime channels (Its not on AFN Altlantic or Pacific) so they can get more people to buy their dish service is all I can figure out. Besides why through the years they have carried the games while they were also on a Korean channel?
AFN has really gone downhill over the years, just look at what they are showing in prime time, all the good stuff is on Spectrum now. Sports? Besides some NFL it has gotten awful. Tomorrow instead of showing Texas-Texas Tech game they are showing NASCAR BUSCH!!!!! series (the AAA level of NASCAR!!!) that is crap ola.
Thank god I have a streamtvnow subscription |
