i want reinstall windows and am trying to format the hard drive its installed on and i get the following below. how do i over come this. iam in command prompt within windows. do i need to be outside of??? and if so how

figured it out with the help of google
just changed the boot sequence in the bios and booted the cd rom first; ran the windows cd, deleted files on drive and fresh install.... too easy and now back up and running without the old headaches

Did you try using disk manager first? That usually always works. right click on my computer and then click on 'manage'. Then click on disk manager and then right click on the drive and select format.
Should work! |
