Crazylemongirl, I don't think it's comparable. My sister could stand to lose a dress size or maybe two, but she's still the most ravishing beauty of the family and all 30 cousins. The women I saw at Costco... We're not talking "dress sizes" (but tonnage) they could stand to drop. I honestly do not mean to be nasty, but there was no shape, no "hourglass" there at all. They were quite simply _round_.

JognoGuru, as incomprehensible to you as this may seem, some men really like round women much more than their skinnier sisters.

no, not you, newinseoul. it was to the guy, bigblackequus who made the ignorant comment that foreign women are all lonely celibate women in korea. i don't wanna compare with you!

i think he was just joking, but still, some guys really think that, and they are so wrong.

it's funny, most of my women friends are married or have a boyfriend, but a lot of my guy friends are always having women problems. it's not as bad for women here as you may think, guys.

(It's Jongno, btw. Smile )

No, it isn't at all incomprehensible to me that some men really like "round women", though I'm sure you're thinking of "pleasingly plump" or "full-bodied" or even "very heavy-set". And all of that is miles removed from what I've been referring to. I don't mean "round" as in a lopsided figure "8", but round as in a massive, formless capital letter "O". I can't be more explicit without posting actual photographs.

However, I will readily accept that there exist men who happen to like the type that I was referring to, who, I stress again, fit your description of "round women" perhaps more literally than you want to imagine. For goodness sake, there are men walking this planet right now who really like amputees and women with facial disfigurements. But statistically speaking, what are the odds of finding such men just a half-block's walk through Itaewon?

(Switch the genders around and the above reads just as true.)

If CLG was trolling for the usual trolls, her original post was a work of genius.

I wish she wouldn't bait us that way. Sad I mean, assuming you're correct.

Where I live I have a few really close girl-friends, they are having a rough time as far as the men around here are concerned.
There is about 8 men in our town, one has a nice personality but urrgh! one has an awful personality and is a wan ker, another is the group joke, he's been here two months and he's getting married to a Korean girl and then their's me and my boyfriend hehehe.....the other two went home.
I think you'll have more options if you are into Korean men, but if you've seen the state of our town when 'sojumen' are in good form you wouldn't even consider a k-guy.
So maybe in small town Korea its a bit harsh for the females.
