There is certainly a market for it. All those twiggim stores and suchlike.

Is anyone up for developing a small biodiesal plant in Korea. It is a new and upcoming cash cow but does need a considerable investment and a little expertise.

A chemist friend of mine is doing it on a small time basis in London and I'm looking to get out of the teaching business in a couple of years.

What do all the fried food people do with that oil?

Anyone interested in developing a project like this in Korea please PM me. I don't know a huge amount about it but I have chemist and engineering-mechanics friends who could help.

If we could get it up and running it could be a big fat cash cow, and a lot more sustainable than LPG. The setup costs for a small unit are cheap and the benefits are pretty staggering both in monetry and ecological terms. Big business has an insatiable appetite for energy, we could set up a collective investment to start a business.

Biodiesel could be the future. If we all put some cash in over the next few months then we could get rich and make the world a better place to live in.

If interested discuss or PM me for more details.

How nice it would be to get quite a bit richer whilst cleaning up the environment lots.

Funny, I just saw my first biodiesel-powered Hummer today, a company vehicle for "Veggie Gas".

Thanks for the input.

If anyone wants to get a biodiesl thing happening in Seoul (or nearby areas) I'm up for it, I'll be back soon.

You have a pretty cool product if it does the same thing as a normal product but it's half price!

A friend of mine is making this stuff and working on a generator. His bus will be powered for free and he'll probably turn a little profit within a year.

Any 'green' people should look at this option.

No mate! Vegiie gas is powered by hippies who eat too many lentils Wink

It's reality. I've seen it working.

I know, I was being serious (for a change)- the local biodiesel company around here is called "Veggie Gas" and they've converted Hummers (well, at least one at any rate) to run on the stuff. It had 2 gas caps, so I'm assuming it had a seperate tank for the biodiesel- is this a neccessary modification or can you pour biodiesel straight into the main tank of a regular diesel vehicle?

There are different types of biodiesel. Some need modifications some don't.

Biodiesel and SVO

google keywords

"how to make biodiesel"

I would love to actually try this.

Well if you think about it, if you compress most liquids that are fine mist you can most likely get an explosive reaction.

Here's a link to an article about technology, which can enable a future, low compression engine, typically used for burning gasoline, to run off of (bio)diesel:

Here's a website dedicated to biodiesel:

Well in that case I guess I'll have to look up the company's contact info and ask them what the second tank is for.
