Hi everyone,
Quick replies appreciated.
What documents do you need to transfer ownership of a car or motorcycle between two foreigners?
Thanks! |

I don't remember all the details, but I do know that you will need your chop (red ink thing) as well as your passport. |

Thanks!
Is getting a dojang made difficult? Where does one go and get that done? |

Getting a dojang made is easy. Any E-mart or similar will have a little key shop that can make one for you.
I DIDN'T need one when I bought my car.
Only IMO and IME it is best to NOT get into using one - as once you start nothing works without it - and everybody wants it - and if you forget to bring it - nothing works.
I have one, just in case, but in five years in Korea I have never HAD to use it. Koreans know that foreigners often don't have one and are happy to go with your signature instead. |

Once you get one made (at e-mart or whatever), I'm pretty sure you have to register it somewhere to make it legal. Do you know where you can do that?
Apparantly you don't need a dojang to buy the car -- but you will definitely need one (as above posters mentioned) to sell it. |
