I'm considering changing jobs - but have a hefty amount in the pension fund.

Will changing jobs complicate getting my refund when the time comes? I plan on spending only one more year in Korea. Or, would I be best to file and get the refund - then return and find a job?

Has anyone here done the refund when it involved more than one employer?

Thanks!

My understanding is that it makes no difference how many jobs you've worked when you decide to withdraw. But, if you withdraw your money and then decide to start working in Korea again, you're required to put back in all that you withdrew, plus interest. (which of course you'll get back again next time you cash out)

This could all be totally wrong though.

I left at the end of last year thinking I was finished with Korea. The money in my pension account was from several different employers. I had no problem getting it out.

I changed my mind soon after getting home and came back. Been back two months and so far no one has said anything about putting the money (plus interest) back in. That's not to say it won't happen. It is the first time I've heard of it though.

Just signed a new contract which takes me off of the national pension and puts me on the teacher's pension. Went down to apply for my national pension and they said it would take less than a month to get the money back. I didn't look at where the money came from, but judging from the amount, at least 3 different jobs.
