We all fave friends. Some good, and some bad. But everyone has at least ONE friend.
Here in Korea, I like all of u, have made friends with some people I wouldn't have even given a second glance to at home. Some times I have been pleasantly surprised, and some times I have been disgusted with my lack of judgement in my choices.
We are all very far from home. We need to be connected to "our own kind". We need to have poeple around who remind us of home. Yes, or corse we also need to be around a vast variety also.
At home I never met people from Austrailia,New Zealand, or South Africa. (really)
Even tho we are from English speaking countries, there are many differences in our cultures.
Koreans, for the most part, are great people. Of corse their culture is differnt, and boy do they bug me at times, but thenagain I bug myself at times too. Everyone is differnt. But, we need friends.
ANd that is one of my favorite sones, "friends are friends forever".
OK, this letter is lots of ranting and raving, but no matter how different we all are there has to be some common ground (sort of) that we can find.
thank God for my friends. |

I agree. In those dark hours of the night where I'm saying to myself, "Why did I cross half the globe to be here? Why?" all I need to do is meet up with someone from back home and then I'm reminded, "Oh yes, these twits are why." |

Yup. And this is why I have no friends.

Yup again. And most will disagree with you even if they won't admit it. |

This is the most personally gratifying thread Ive read here.
And I thought I was the only one with people who backstabbed and lied and called themselves my friend. Im glad to know Im not the only one who questions peoples motives regarding friendship sometimes. I thought that everyone was all okeydokey in this department except me. good to know.
Im a great friend besides the occasional craziness. |

| What bugs me about "friends" is how they all change behaviour and try to score points off eachother whenever an attractive woman is around. |

"all change behaviour"? Most, yes, but not all. All depends on who your friends are. |
