Well I finished all four. I think the most fun one was COD2 but it was also the stupidest one.
Fear was excelent not because its scary because it was different and the combat was just sweet.
Quake 4 was mediocre at best, I have no idea why I forced myself to play it. Well I loved quake 2 and I thought it would be similar to it.
Civ 4 it was cool and all but I just liked civ 3 more.
Now I want to finish Butchers Bay.
I hate being obsessive and compulsive about games. |

Yeah. After I finished, space/democratically/conquest no real point in playing it. I just enjoyed civ 3 more. Plus Civ4 is horribly buggy on my laptop as soon 20th century starts every 5 turns it CTD's or BSODs my laptop. |

Curious to know: What was stupid about Call of duty 2?
How did it compare to the first one and its expansion?
How was the FEAR single player? That's next on my list but I've heard the single player is short.
Butcher's Bay is alright, but nothing new after the first half of the game. Still, it's satisfying enough to be worthwhile to finish.
I liked Quake2 too (as did most of the planet)- what sucks about Quake4? (I found Doom3 to be ultimately unsatisfying as the game play hadn't really evolved from the original the way the graphics had- for some people this was a positive, for me it was a negative). |

Call of Duty 2 was bit stupid because. You had no health bar, every time you got hurt you just ran for cover and new magically healed. So you could run around doing dumb things and not die. There was overwheling waves of germans, most times when defending there was no lines, germans would be amongst your team. Team also never died, and if you waited long enough the AI would kill everything for you. COD 1 was much better in my opinion.
FEAR single player was awsome, generally it was a fun game to play. Not really scared because I am immune to those kind of scare tactics. I really enjoyed the story and I loved the enemy AI especialy on harder difficulty. The game has some problems tho.
Quake 4 well it just reminded me of Doom 3. It still very plasticy , shrink wraped looking. Very colorfull and bright, it really bothered me because Q2 was draby and very dull. I just hated that there was NO GIBS in the game, the corpses just disapeared like in D3. I just couldn't tell the diff between Quake 4 and D3. AI was week and it just felt like played D3 over again. At least the fixed the flashlight issue from D3. |
