Hi,
Does anyone want to have a (somewhat improvised) Thanksgiving dinner? There's 3 or 4 (including me), that were thinking a potluck Thanksgiving would be really fun. The only problem is that we all have really small apartments.
So, anyone wanna host it? It will be a good chance to meet new people, and you'll prolly get to keep a lot of the leftovers....

My place is tiny, and two of us live here.
Along these lines, anyone know of a restaurant in Kyounggi/Seoul
serving an American-style turkey dinner with all the trimmings?
I've settled for smoked turkey legs at the local soju house for
too many Thanksgivings. |

The USO does American Thanksgiving.
You can always buy a roast chicken from the Costco/Walmart/HomePlus/EMart and do up the trimmings yourself.
Costco often has forzen turkeys - this Thanksgiving we bought one, cut it up into manageable pieces and roasted it piece by piece in the toaster oven (pre cooked it in the microwave). |

My place is relatively huge, but I doubt you want to take 4 hours getting here. If you did, though, there would be roast turkey, dressing and pumpkin pie.
Oh well,...
I've done the smoked turkey leg thing...if you stick 'em in a pot and boil 'em to get the meat off, you can make a decent dressing if you have enough sage. It's a heck of a lot better than a chicken sandwich at Hardee's (alone) for Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner. I promise you, it is. |
