Hi there guys ,

This questions is asking from you guys that have done 2 or more years here.

What is normally given when you sign again for a second year.

My director has asked if i would stay for a second year , I often wonder why because i honestly dont think that i am a very good teacher. I think I am a resonable teacher but nothing fantastic.

I assume that i will get a return trip paid for to see family and friends, he has given me the idea this wont be a problem.

Should I look for a Salary increase , maybe a change of apartment from the shoe box size apartment that l currently have.

Any advice is welcome.

There is a mistake that everyone seems to make. It has to do with the renewal. Its something like extension vs new contract. Its better to get an extension but I can't remeber why.

Change of apartment may be possible but I wouldn't count on it. See, he is paying the rent and it is probably pre-paid. So I'd ask for a salary increase of about W 100,000 per month and the bonus/severance money before signing the new contract.
