No the look of them is great- that opening shot of the "Wonder Wheel" was fantastic (wish they'd started the whole film with that in fact)
the problem is the sound of those old movies- new films have got something happening with the soundtrack all of the time, whether it's music or hearing what's in the background. When you have the dead silence and then a song just starts out of nowhere I just find it distracting.

Also I suppose I'm just too used to the whole 3 act plot structure of modern movies. When I watched "Mean Streets" I thought it was just weird.
