I think I wanna go to this but i have never been to the Seoul Arts Center.
Whats it like? Do I have to sit for two hours or can I walk around and mingle? I'll be in the bad seats but I'd rather be at the bar. When I was in the States, I would go to clubs where you stood in front of the stage. That area was the mosh pit. You could also escape the crown by going to the back where the bar usually was.

I read on a Google search that Lisa Ono is Yoko Ono's sister. Lisa being the sibling with talent.

I'm sure Lisa Ono would be charmed to hear your opinion of her sister...

The Yoko Ono jokes are so cliche. Besides, it's cruel and racist, really (I'm not saying you are racist, but just remember the time when it began, when interracial marriages were a rarety).

With that out of the way...I bet you imagine her as the woman screaming like a banshee in that shrill voice of hers while John Lennon walks off stage, but that was actually done with an artistic purpose (that whole primal scream thing). Furthermore, she's a successful artist who's well respected in the contemporary art circles, and was so long before she met John Lennon. She's also been credited has having inspired a new musical genre, new-wave (if you're old enough to remember it). Not bad for someone who you claim lacks talent.

Oh, and she didn't marry John Lennon for his money-- in case that's what you believe. She was actually worth far more than he was when they married (she got a huge inheritance from her mother who was one of the richest women in Japan).

Yoko Ono is someone I have to be told is talented. I've paid attention to everything the record and art marketers have thrown at me and none of Yoko Ono's creations have stuck. She's like Uma Thurmon, I just don't think she's pretty but none the less, I'm told she is repeatedly. South Park even maes fun of Yoko Ono.

I'm not interested in why John and Yoko got married but I guess they like each other cause they spent a week in bed together and filmed it. I really like Bossa Nova music and this looked good. I've never heard of Lisa Ono before but with just one paragraph, I've been offered more enjoyment than 40 years of Yoko Ono.

Are we now so PC that saying someone of another race has no talent is a racist statement? We can only criticize people of our own race?!? Crying or Very sad

Call me racist. I don't care. Yoko Ono has no talent. At least Britney Spears looks good as she makes my skin crawl.

So is the guy who painted a picture of the Virgin Mary and smeared it with elephant dung. That doesn't mean he has talent. It means his hand stinks.

And, Al Gore has been credited with creating the Internet.

Oh, come on. You darn well know nobody would have blammed John Lennon's wife for breaking up of the Beatles if she had been white. Had she been some glamorous British model, people would have praised him for being romantic.

I completely disagree.

Look at Courtney Love. She is credited with killing (literally) Nirvana and she is white. I don't think Yoko's race had anything to do with her being blamed for the break-up of The Beatles.

I don't think Yoko Ono caused the Beatles' breakup. But I am free to have my own opinion, which is that Yoko Ono's music sounds like someone chewing on a cat. It is ridiculous to suggest that one person caused new wave, let alone her--evidence? Never heard of her sister, but now I'm curious to find out more.

This happened 35 years ago. Get over it. John Lennon is the biggest flake in the universe. There is no way he could have not married someone like Yoko Ono. He did marry a normal girl and he dumped her. Someone Yoko-ish was in the cards. The band was more popular than Christ and that has to cause unbelievable stress

Unlike the break up which occured 35 years ago, Yoko Ono-Lennon is still making crappy arte. Thats why she is relevant today.

You really don't have an argument because that's a completely different issue. The fact Courtney Love is unjustly blamed for the breakup of Nirvana (you'd think Curt Kobain blowing his brains out would be the obvious reason the band broke up) does not disprove that racism wasn't behind the bad press Yoko Ono gets.

I've listened to approximately 700 interviews with various people in the know about why the band broke up and no central reason emerged from all those discussions. Mostly Lennon and McCartney got tired and disinterested.

Yoko is good if you are into the New York art scene but thats it. She seems to excel at performance art and being outrageous in the dumbest way. She had equal access to the Beatles production abilities and even more so than Badfinger who made four top ten hits back in that era. I dig those songs as they are staples on classic rock stations. To be fair, she wasn't a musician and Badfinger was a professional rock band. She just wasn't up to par, not even in a PeterMax sort of way. Performance art doesn't carry well although it has its place but still its the black sheep of the art world. Its something you do for a break, not something you do full time.

I disagree. There is an accusation of racism so we have to investigate thouroughly and comprehensively.
