I recently DL'd a cam copy of these movie and wow. I had to stop after 10 minutes because this is a movie that deserves theatrical presentation. I have looked online, but I'll be damned if I can find the Korean release date. Anybody know? It isn't out already is it?

I agree with your "Wow!" assessment. Really looking forward to this one.

Saw it the first week it came out here- I'd have to describe it as an ambitious failure. Still, the pickings have been slim so if you want to get out to the theatre it's as good a choice as any other you're likely to come across.

He can't act and that what he's good at. There is no love story hiding away in his soul. He is an action movie star and that requires shooting and more shooting. He could do the whole movie without speaking and it would be great.

This movie disappoints.

What's with the voiceover throughout the entire movie? Just one big long monologue covering 40 years of history.

I wear baggy pants and tuck the laces in under the tongue....but sometimes they manage to wiggle out and drop into a puddle or worse...I cry because I need to tuck them back in or else my secret will be out..but they are all nubby...this can be problematic because my boss could tell me I must tie my shoe* (see : tuck in shirt vs. beer belly and keeping it real around the office)....it's on my '10 things to accomplish' list at number 9...I am still too proud for velcro...

...8MM wasn't too too too too bad...nor was Red Rock West....

I'm not a Nick Cage fan but I have to wonder if you've seen Leaving Las Vegas, Uber.

yes, i've also seen wild at heart, bringing out the dead and raising arizona. every crappy actor has some moments where they shine, even gary busey.

i've also seen...
windtalkers
captain corelli's mandolin
adaptation
gone in 60 seconds
face-off
con air
the rock

sorry, his body of work that features him acting like a 4 year old boy who just woke up and wants his mommy, while trying to act tough with five socks stuffed in his mouth far outweighs the (edit - hey, i can COUNT!) 4 good movies he's been in.

What the hell is with Charles "Crimes Against Humanity" Taylor acting like Eddie Murphy in Coming to America?? I half expected one of his wh*res to say "the royal *beep* is clean, your highness."

I thought it was a decent movie but too simplistic and breezy. And everything was force fed to you. They couldn't just say "he makes money from arms." They had to show you casings popping out of an AK making the cash register Cha-ching sound. They couldn't just say "now we are showing you when the cold war ended," they had to have nick cage have a cell phone conversation while leaning on an overturned statue of lenin.

all the wark hawks and gun nuts of the world can easily scoff this movie off. it would've been better to be less dramatic but more realistic.

Um, yeah. I'm going to have to admit you've convinced me, and I'd add 8mm and Snakeseyes to his list of 'sucks real bad'... I really liked adaptation, though I can't recall how his acting was.
