Here's to mixing it up! I made my contribution too. Unfortunately, the little mixed girl I raised has gotten a lot of racist *beep* in her lifetime in the U.S.A. I have to laugh when I see complaints here about racist treatment received by the white guys- they haven't a clue as to what it is like to be on the receiving end of real racism. (With the notable exception of those who have been seriously abused, which I have no doubt has happened- but most of the "racism" complaints I see here are things like 'those nasty boys at immigration want me to check in, wahhh!, and 'the ajumas stared at me, wahhhh!)
I don't even get started on the racism I see on this board, because of what I have seen and experienced in the good ol' superior bastion of western civilization, the U.S.A. Ranting here always strikes me as particularly useless and therefore foolish. Those you rant at won't get it, and the rest already see them for who they are.
As Ghandi said, Western civilization? Now that would be a good idea!
Anyway, that's my 50 cent semi-coherent just woke up ramblings for the morning. Now I'll close my mouth on the topic again for the next year or so.  |

| I read a very interesting article in Le Monde that drew a direct line between the American media's extensive coverage of the riots in France with how it covered the bombing in Jordan. I'll let you guess its motives. |

ActuallyI asked my very good friend who is English and lives in the suberbs of Paris how is car was?
He said he travels through "slum areas " every day on his way to work and he never saw a sign that there were riots going on.No smoke no policemen no burnt out cars.
The media it seems have once again blown the problem up. |

eh well the bombings in jordan got extensive coverage as well. and i'm sure the media hyped up the riots in france but that's the media towards any news -worthy event. |

But this isn't about the issue of racial mixing, which I have no problem with, but the colonisation and Islamification of Europe. Rather sad that you are 'proud' to be supporting the downfall of Western European civilization, all in the name of 'tolerance'. |

Michigan? Michigan has the second-largest Arab community outside the Middle East, after Paris.

On the plus side.. Michigan is pretty much completely absent of the Islamic problems that Europe seems to have with it. The last 'problem' I heard was the large Polish communities were complaining about the calls to prayer being too loud. |

Ah, yes. Le Monde on how the Americans distorted the riots in France. Talk about misplacing blame because of shame. After Katrina, even if I could agree with that premise, surely France's hypocrisy wouldn't sway me to sympathize. |

That is a dubitable conclusion. A great many Arab-Americans are Lebanese. As you know, Lebanon was the more Christian of the Arab countries. |

I was thinking of the infamous michigan 'militias' and other racist survivalist fringe elements. Nothing against those states and their inhibitants in general though; I'm sure those fringe nutjobs do not make up a significant percentage of state population. |

The biggest arab immigrant group in America is palestinian. Most of those immigrants were xtian as well.
