and sorry dumbass, but just becasue you thnk some words are easier to type in korean, that doesnt help ENGLISH people reading on this board that dont know what the hell you typed
at least dumbasses like yourself coule make an effort and put it in english for newbies in korea. oh, and by the way, i can read korean, so dont bother tryin to make a lame comeback! |
Perhaps you could take your own advice and write in English. |
Isn't it wonderful who they let in to teach English? Other than towel boy for some Junior A hockey team, is this guy qualified to hold any job? |

It doesn't help someone looking for if I type Chongno, Jongno, Chong-ro, or Jong-ro because none of them is pronounced like . I have no idea what the English bastardization on the subway signs and city maps is and, if I recall correctly, it's spelled in different English ways in different places. |
I hate when the Korea Times/Herald/IHT puts Korean words, places, names, etc in roman form. They should at least put the actual Korean characters in brackets. |

Newbies vs. Veterans ... Fight!
Seriously, if there was ever any evidence of a gap, here it is. Maybe it's time for an 'experienced' expat forum. I, for one, agree that using Korean (especially for names of things) is actually appropriate. Those who care enough should take the (little) time to learn.
On topic:
Inside the stadium is good... but if you wander around a little behind the stadium and some streets over on a sunday, it sprawls out for many blocks. Lots of people. Can't miss it! |

Romanization sucks. However, there was an official system adopted in 2000. All newspapers and signs should be using it by now. You do see some old signs, especially in the provinces, that use one of the old systems.
OT: There are junk shops everywhere. Why don't you try to define exactly what it is you want to focus on: books, antique furniture, knicknacks, something like that. I really don't kow what Korean stuff the highest demand exists for. Why not watch a few categories on eBay and see what's pulling in good prices, and see on what sort of items people are willing to pay shipping from Asia. |

Keep up the good work, Spidey!
P.S. Now would be the perfect time to criticize my avatar... |

That's assuming spidey112233 was normal to begin with.
Highly doubtful. |
