I like the videotape idea - Koreans really hate hard evidence.
As for the ideas about beating and humilation - why stoop to that if you can just throw him out of class? Let him run home, throw him right out the hogwan if you have to. Bottom line, show him and everyone else that you need not put up with that kind of shit.
BTW, at hogwan I had a middle school girl just like that (she didn't really make me angry, though, as the whole class was a write-off and it was quite frankly amusing to watch). When push came to shove and wonjongnim-babo proved that we had no authority to do anything about kids like her (and we had a number of them) I quit. What would happen if you told your boss 'either he goes or I go'? |

| I have sympathy for your situation. This is a Catch 22. Like others have alrady said, just do your best. If they fire you, there are plenty of jobs out there. No worries. |

C'mon man...
read the writing on the wall. I mean, your school can't kick one student out for fear of folding? Man, what does that tell you...if my school's success or failure was dependent upon one brain dead zombie, I would be scouring the job forum ads. Someone at your school needs a spine...kick the disruptive little shippalsekki out of the freakin' class!!!!!!! |
