Hi everyone

I'm about to wrap up my year in Korea and head off for several months of backpacking in China and SE Asia. However, I'm not sure what I should do about travel insurance. As a foreigner currently living in Korea, what are my options?

All previous times I bought travel insurance I was at home in Canada, and the insurance governed the period between leaving and reentering Canada. Clearly that is not the case here, so I'm pretty much at a loss.

I'm sure lots of you have sailed off into Asia from Korea like I'm about to do, and know what insurance to get. Any advice? Thanks!

I'm sure you don't want to have to deal with the hassle of talking to anyone in Korea if you have to make a claim.

Get someone at home to take out an insurance policy in your name.
