Hi Guys,
This is a very common occurence in Korea! The infamous midnight run. I too have done a runner. The truth is that I loved Korea to death and all those Korean gurls. I came back to my home country for all the wrong reasons. Sure, I do have a good government job with all the benefits. Nobody should ever take their current situation for granted. I have been back home for just about 4 yrs and still dream of Korea every night. Yea, life is good and safe, honestly bored out my mind since I have come back from a Thailand vacation. I just finish 6 weeks enjoying life, now back freezing in this cold and overpriced country.
Well, I hope that four years and a new passport will let me back into Korea for a new life and a hopefull future. I will get my visa before I come into the country, preferably in Bkk. The Land of Smiles and sexiest women on this planet. I look forward to some replies on this email. To all those teachers, keep working hard and show those Koreans that Westerners have some work ethic. Think about it, you can easily save $1000 US a month. Where in this world can u do this? Keep up the good work people. Hope to see u soon, God bless Itaewon. |

New passport is meaningless but you might be OK anyway after all this time...People mention lack of saving and taxes at home but always forget that you GET something in return---a lot in fact. |

Will they tell ahead of time if I can come inside Seoul or not? Or just put me behind bars, or pay a fine? |

The only way you will have any trouble at all is if your former employer put a nasty note in your file. That can be trouble. The best way to find out is to ask Immigration. |

Don't worry about it mate,
The chances of you being denied a visa because you broke a contract is minimal. The best thing to do is to apply for a job out of country, either they will issue a visa or they won't. |
