I just recently bought a rounter and connected my laptop and pc to together. I also use the same internet line for both through the router. With the laptop shut off and the PC running just the online game, I am getting a ping of around 214. I figure it should be lower this being Korea and all. Please let me know. My PC does not have trojans, etc. I clean swept the harddrive 2 days ago.

Depends what server I'm targeting. You can't really reduce it. It's pretty much determined by how many network servers your data is routed through to get to the final destination.

I play BF2... My ping to Korean servers are great and to Taiwan they are pretty good. When it comes to the rest of the world its in the mid 200 and 300+ ms.. Back home my connection was much better then this one.

I play BF2 too and I usually stick within Asia. Usually Signapore or Taiwan. But for some reason my ping rate kept increasing when i was playing the game (I was on a Taiwan server) same with the two people who were beside me on the same server. Then, we eventually got booted for having too high of a ping. Kind of odd.. I've never had it happen before..

yeah...yesterday I was playing zero hour with a 43 ping! I was exstatic. Then later on yesterday evening...back up to 184 ping....
