I was rummaging through the news today and came across this tidbit of news that I found very interesting;
http://www.estripes.com/article.asp?section=104&article=33349
According to the article, a GI in Uijongbu was booked after breaking off an engagement with a local girl with whom they've had sex with. |

Craziness...
Here's an interesting quote from the story:
Han, who is married, also faces a charge of adultery in Korean court, according to Yang Seung-seok of the Uijeongbu prosecutor's office.
It's a good thing that law's in place. |

My tutor was telling me about laws like that just the other day.
Early in life Frank Sinatra was convicted of the same crime. |

The bright side for us is, it seems if we're in legal trouble we now know exactly where to go.

WTF? Adultury charges? Ha ha ha.....if he gets charged on adultury, then the Korean government had to also charge the large percentage of Korean men who visit prostitutes on a regular basis. |

I liked this little gem:
In South Korea, only women who are not habitually immoral may accuse their partner of this fraud, Carr said. A woman accused of prostitution or who has many partners may not be considered a victim, he said.
It basically comes down to general reputation of each person, Carr said.
It's not like he raped her. God, she's just stupid. And vindictive. People shouldn't go to jail for that, IMO. She was 36 years old- not a spring chicken. Ijit. Poor guy- 2 years in jail... |

Not sure Brendan would be happy with a bunch of adultery or broken promises clients. |
