Yes, cosmetics for me too (I'm embarrassed to name them). I can't find them in Seoul for love nor money!

My family gives me gift certificates from LL Bean or Eddie Bauer, cuz they ship internationally. LL Bean sells home decor, sporting equip, clothes, outdoor/gardening equip, etc., etc., so you are sure to find something good on the site. Stepmom just buys the certificate on-line, and they send me the info. via e-mail. No waiting in line at the post office for her... No checking the mail everyday and worrying about theiving neighbors for me. Last year I bought a featherbed for my wicked hard mattress from LL...

Haha, princess has gone from being a very naive young woman, to a 9 year old girl with a biggish vocabulary.

I will be home for Christmas this year for the first time since 2001 - I can't decide if I am happy about it or not, because the stress of the whole thing is starting to hit me. Confused

Anyway, I always found that over the year I would think to myself "MmmI really really want a ___." or "I wish I had a ____." Then come Christmas, my family would ask what things I wanted sent over, and I would say "Hmm. Wellllll, there's nothing that I can really think of I suppose....."

So my mom just started calling me on Christmas Day and telling me that she had made a deposit into my bank account and I could go shopping for ym own stuff Mad

A laptop, and socks.

I'll also be at home over Christmas - leaving Korea for 'good' in two weeks.

I need to buy people presents here as I won't have time to shop when I get home (need to move house and get ready to move to Singapore, as well as getting very drunk every night).

So suggestions for that also welcome... I know there are other "presents from Korea" threads but not specifically Christmas gifts, I think. Very Happy

All I requested was a few clothing items, the latest issue of B itch and Harper's magazines, and candy canes.

Q.

My thoughts exactly...

Im going home for Christmas. I wont be asking for any gifts - I think now that I live so far away from home, Ill appreciate pretty much anything.
