Hey, I know I'm good - but there was a lot of excellent stuff posted in this region of cyberspace. Give me some competition, already. We need more nominations for "Best Thread" "Most Hilarious Post," etc. Timing-wise, it may have been more appropriate to start this thread a little closer to New Years Day to tap into the traditional "year in review" spirit... (Otherwise, I'll just start working on my acceptance speeches... Rolling Eyes )

I'll nominate "Evolutionists have missed the beginning AND the end" for "Thread of the Year." (I think that "fiveeagles" contribution to this forum should not be ignored - though others may think otherwise...)

I loved this post by Yataboy:

Woo-hoo! I got a nomination, I got a nomination! Thank you, kermo. Very Happy

I was pretty proud of that post, although I thought my best work was on the ecoterrorism thread. That just goes to show that us artistes are not always the best judges of our work.

Thank you for the nomination and I want to take this opportunity to say, "Even if I don't win, it's an honor just to be nominatied and know I have the respect of my peers. I want to mention how much I owe my parents, my brother and sister, all of my school teachers but especially Mrs. Pickens in the 2nd Grade, Mrs. Hughes in the 4th Grade and Mrs. Sadler in the 8th Grade. Without their help I could never have scaled the heights and achieved the great things I have so far. I owe it all to them. But most of all I want to thank Elvis. In a shameless appeal to your emotions in hopes of getting your vote, I am going to tell you about Elvis and me. Elvis was my dog when I was 12. He got run over by a car about 8 months after he came to live with us, but he made such a tremendous impact on my life in those short 8 months. He inspired me to never bark at strangers and to write his life story. I'm currently on volume four...the moderators say my time is up, so I'll just have to leave it at that. A 12 year old boy. A speeding car and a dead dog."

In the loose spirit of making up rules as we go along, I suggest that we all be allowed to make two nominations in each category (including self-nominations) and a different person (or clever sock) would need to second the nomination (to create the veneer of legitimacy...)

So, I'll go ahead and second "Ya-ta Boy's" nomination (to clear up any doubts about his legitimacy...)

If only two posts (whatever) are nominated in a category, the seconded post will be declared the winner. If more than one "whatever" is seconded, then we'll have to petition "Bo Peabody" - who had the vision to start this (empty) promising thread - to set up as many polls as necessary to determine the undisputed champions in each (weight) division: (Heavyweight, Middleweight and Lightweight ? Question ?)

I can see that several people are trying to get in their last-minute entries for the "Troll" and "Avatar" competitions.

Dolouz (sp?) is the Tiger Woods of offensive posts. Giving that award to anyone but him would not be fair recognition of his devotion to being moronic.

I wish to use my two nominations in the (newly created) "Best Game" category by acknowledging the perennial favorite, ("Pyongshin Sangja's") "Song Titles Game" along with its recent formidable challenger, "Change the Word Game" (originated by "victim of love")

Troll of the year-Spinoza He used to rant against everyone who disagreed with him with his long winded insults until he was outed that he used a web site called insultmonger to get them from.

Most Offensive post-definitely Igotthisguitar when he accused jews of perpetrating the holocaust.

Best avatar-the cat with the machine gun -dunno name

Wittiest poster-I like joe Doufu-he reminds me of Newman on Seinfeld-wait a sec Newman was a loser-cancel that nomination
