I wonder if Dave's ever considered creating a "Teacher's Journal" for the forums.

I think it would be a VERY useful thing for ALL teachers. The job related discussion forum is a great idea but it doesn't necessarily deal SPECIFICALLY with what is going on in a classroom and how teacher's are dealing with it.

What if teachers could create their own journals online (like threads) to track their progress and to allow other teacher's to contribute their ideas in a CLASSROOM SPECIFIC setting?

An interesting idea. I know others have proposed setting up a lesson plan sticky. The problem is that the 20-30 of us who always contribute to the job board probably have 20-30 situations. I guess kiddie hogwan teachers have more similarities, but for public school you've got elementary / middle / high and boys / girls / mixed. Then for HS you have academic, vocational, and industrial. You've also got rural vs. urban, which sets up a different dynamic. If there were a number of others who taught mostly girls academic HS I'd gladly make regular contributions, but as it is I think I'll stick to getting together for coffee with Derrek once a month or so to compare notes.
