My wife and I put in a successful bid at a charity for a 3-night stay at a luxury hotel at Siem Riep. Does anyone know where I can get a visa for Cambodia as they have no embassy here?

Also, are there any direct flights from Korea to Cambodia/ Or does one have to go via Honkers or Singapore?

I went to Siem Reap and the temples of Angkor a few years ago - you just paid for and got a visa when you landed at Siem Reap airport back then...

Asiana flies Incheon-Siem Reap now; check their website as it is only certain days of the week.

Thanks for the info re the visa....sounds logical if they have no embassy in Seoul

Pity that it's Asiana that flies there.....when their pilots recently went on strike we swore never to fly Asiana again after seeing their demands (no alcohol tests, no English tests, no foreign co-pilots, free golf clubs at their destination.......)

I'm going to Cambodia via Bangkok in January. I booked a flight with Air Asia for 39.00US. It goes into Phomn Phen, and I plan on staying there a few days, and then I'll take a bus to Angkor Wat. The website for Air Asia is: AirAsia.com. Even my Korean credit card worked for payment.

Happy Travels.

I've been to Cambodia 4 times entering on land from Thailand. We just had to make a stop at the little shack on the side of the road that serves as an immigration checkpoint and pay 1,000 Baht (they accepted Thai curency) for a 30-day single entry into Cambodia.

We needed photos, which they took for us (+100 Baht) and to fill out some forms that took no time at all. I would suspect it's even easier at the aiport.

Have Fun!!

Cambodia, I'd say, is the greatest country in SE Asia.

Visas are easily and cheaply organised in Bangkok...the hub of travel.

I paid US$20 last summer for a visa at the Siem Reap Airport. You might find it cheaper to fly Vietnam Airlines and go via Saigon instead of via Bangkok. Bangkok Airways has a monopoly on flights from Bangkok and their prices are ridiculous. you can leave Seoul at 11AM and be in Siem Reap by 5P
