I am seriously jonesing for some eggnog. I haven't had any for years and am missing it. I have looked at the recipes online but don't know how feasible it is to make. (still remember a roommate's disastrous attempt) Does anyone know where I can definitely buy some eggnog?

It's easy to make. I don't recall ever seeing eggnog here, and I was just at Costco last Friday, and I know they don't have it. Why don't you give it a shot? I think I'll make some tonight, and I'll let you know how it turned out. Wink What problems did your roomate have, btw?

Just make it dude. I did a few years back. Likely will again this Holiday season. Thanks for reminding me!

Easy recipes online. Then again, why not just improvise? Pinch of salt, some sugar, milk, little butter, cinamon, couple beaten eggs ... hmmmm ... etc etc ...

Fed it to my adult students Christmas 2003. Most seemed to really dig it.

p.s. Don't forget the rum Wink

All the ingredients are readily available in Korea, down at your local superdupermart and it's not really all that hard to make.

I'm going to whip some eggnog (non-alcoholic of course) and christmas cookies during the cooking class of my winter camp.

it was like thin spoiled milk, need I say more?
Thanks for the encouragement and maybe I will try it. I like to cook but it seemed hard to make.

Sounds like you were using the wrong kind of diary product.

You might want to try using thick, rich cream next time.

i made eggnog last year. it was exactly like the eggnog my recently departed grandfather made. follow the recipe and use real cream (i got whipping cream at hyundai dept. store) and you should be fine.

rum, rye and eggs are all easy to come by. nutmeg may be a stretch in some towns, but barely a problem in seoul.

It's easier to make than boiling an egg! Seriously, you can't go wrong.

Simply,... mix...

2 beaten eggs,
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 1/3 cups of milk

And refrigerate!

Done.
