Look your best and pull out every cute teaching anecdote you can. Nothing seems funnier and charming to a Korean woman than a white male with cute stories of being confused and befuddled by Korean children.

1. Part of it depends on what you are going to do on the date. If you're going to the opera, I'd say dress up a lot. If you're going ice skating, then for that.

2. Take a shower

You should go on Mastermind, Ya-ta Boy, specialist subject: stating the bleeding obvious. Laughing

Korean women expect to be entertained. They are sensation addicts and their attention span drifts quickly if you do not keep the conversation spicy. The mans role is to be a performing clown apparently.

All women like a man who is charming, funny, and can keep a conversation going on something as uncomfy as a first date. *shrug*

dude, winnie is a LADY.

Anyway, i agree with the dude that said you look like you look like. He already thinks you're attractive...just brush your teeth and be natural.

do you think its better to go all out on a first date...looking your absolute best, or is it better to pretend not to try too hard, and just look normal, and a little spruced up?

If you really like him, or think that you might end up really liking him, put in a little extra effort to look as sharp as possible for your date - he'll notice, of course...

For me, I feel "encouraged" when a lady has made the effort to look her best... Not that she's trying to impress anyone, but rather, she values the date enough to have put in the time to look as good as possible...

Personality is first and foremost (goes without saying), but, everyone knows, men especially put a lot of emphasis on looks...

I don't think many men would ever think, "Damn, she looks too good for this date... Nice hair, outfit, make up... Jeeez, I think she might have overdone it...", because that would make him a retard...

Thats true maestro, you of the pantie shimmy- but my point is its not all about her. Some of us are not always in the mood to perform a show to win points.
i prefer to sit back a little. She should try to impress me too, not just the other way round.

That's true. You're assessing her as well. In fact, I've found that putting her on the spot goes a long way toward impressing her in ways that matter.

Yes, but her OP doesn't seem to limit this discussion to how _girls_ should dress/prepare for a first date, regardless of Winnie's gender. If she'd meant it to be limited in that way, she could have indicated that.

No disrespect to anyone here, but this thread kind of reminds me of conversations with my nieces. They're quite young.

And what do you have to offer? A fabulous family estate in Africa? Why should she try to impress you when, for any reasonably attractive woman, life is a floating sushi buffet of men. She just has to wait long enough and her ideal dish will parade itself by for her benefit.

haha Laughing but you miss the point. Women want what they can't have, regardless of its financial bonus. her ideal dish is the one thats out of her reach. Not a sashaying shimmying piece of fruit salad trying to be a performing comedian, extolling the virtues of Korean brats.
