This thread may have been done before but, in case i haven't heard from everyone:
What are the thing that, for whatever reason, make you shudder or paralyze you with fear or whathaveyou.
I bring this up cause i just had the misfortune of dealing with mine for the last 40minutes.
The sound of felt marker on cardboard, that dry cccccckckkcckkekeeeekckkekkekekeeeeeee sound, makes me physically ill. I stop shaking and i can't stop.
horrible.

I'm starting to feel that way about the song 'Greensleeves'. They play it 5 minutes before classes start in the morning and afternoon. Pavlovian training. |

Work. I think it's the fear of having to get of bed in the morning during winter . |

I get really creeped out by Kleenex being torn up. Instant heebie-jeebies when I hear that sound. Also, when something fibrous is caught on something sharp, like a bit of a wooly scarf on a nail, that sound/sensation makes me uneasy. |

Ojinga...I like the taste and I believe meat is dinner...but those little legs all hacked up and mixed in with my lunch at school makes me cringe... |

When the coffeeshop girl sticks a straw into my coffee cup.
I shudder in terror, as they haven't invented public waste baskets in my town, and littering is illegal--so I end up carrying this red straw, often for up to an hour, as I walkabout town. |

Balloons. Loathe them. Despite them. Utterly and completely detest them. Bringing one into the classroom is probaby the surest and fastest route to getting kicked OUT of the classroom. |

Sometimes when I use chalk, it makes the hair on my arms stand up. The school has two types and the dust free stuff seems to be okay, but the other stuff just wigs me out. |

Agree with Dawn on the balloons. If a balloon gets in my classroom, it DIES.
Also, when someone scratches her very dry skin with her long fingernails. *SHUDDER*
Oh, walking to work today and thinking I spotted a toy left on the street....getting closer and looking more to figure out what it is only to find that it is a DUCK HEAD! Not as bad as a horse head in your bed maybe, but a DUCK HEAD on the way to work....*shudder* The kind with the green feathers on the head. Yes, a real duck head. And no, Free World, ducks do NOT commonly drop their heads while flying overhead--that is most certainly NOT common. This was a chopped off head.
I already have to avoid the slushy half frozen fish guts and blood river that is splashed all over the sidewalk and allowed to run down the street.
Now duck heads???!!?! |
