Why - who's criticizing PJS?
Bloody idiots!
His runs and link-up play are excellent. |

Well Peter Schmeichel had a rant about the general state of United a few days ago and picked out Christiano Ronaldo, Rio Ferdinand and Park:

| "I'm thinking about players who could take the club forward. Ronaldo? No chance. Park? No chance. Ferdinand? No chance." |

ferdinand has been playing better recently, thankfully too thinking of the world cup.
ronaldo is having a tough time off the field, but man does he need to open his eyes now and then and pass the firkin ball!!! fair enough, he can dribble like i don't know what, but he can't do it on his own!
park ji sung (or however you spell his name) is a good player, but up to man utd standard? no.
but then again, look at the whole of the team:
van der sar: awesome.
neville: good. ferdinand: good. brown: average. o'shea: average. (heinze at left back: awesome).
fletcher: average. park:average. scholes: average, was awesome. giggs: good.
van nistlehorse: awesome. rooney: super awesome.
(the team that played villa)
far too many average players in a team of man utd's reputation.
oh, and before anyone does what i have done with liverpool's team, yeah, i know, far too many average players for liverpool too. |

Yeah you got the name right I can't believe this thread has the name wrong. It is Ji-Sung Park offically but he is calle Park Ji-Sung as well.
He is an awesome player and am a Newcastle fan. Him Rooney and Ronaldo are part of a new golden age. Along with Richardson and Eagles they give Man U some amazing options down the flanks its just the middle of the park they need sorting.
I respect the hell out of Ferguson but it is time to hand over to a younger man who can use these boys to build his own dynasty. |

Exactly. Ronaldo fancies dribbling to himself at the byline, trickling past two or three defenders before falling down/sulking like a baby, losing possession to the simplest of challenges or most likely making a lame pass back up the pitch. All this with either Rooney or Nistelrooy unmarked in the box waiting for a feed. Ronaldo's got footwork but JS Park is contributing more to the team. Keep Ronaldo off the pitch and start every match with JS Park on the wings. Yeah!
Was SAF & Keano blind or is Ronaldo just too stubborn? Give the boy a proper yelling. "Pass the farkin' ball ya c*nt!!!" |

Schmeichel's talking out of his arse.
Ferdinand's having a bad season. Apart from the ban - which was completely ludicrous - he was outstanding before that. Before United bought Rio, we had a leaky defence. In 2002/3 we had the best defence in the league and we won the championship. Rio and Silvestre has always been a very good CB partnership. For Schemichel to trash Rio like that is not looking at the big picture at all.
I get annoyed as heck with Ronaldo but he's a great player. I can think of many examples of when his distribution has been precise and match-winning for club and country. He gains good ground for the team with his runs too. It's Darren fu_king Fletcher we need to get rid of. Sir Fergie plays him every single game yet one of Ronaldo or PJS, infinitely better players than that Scottish tw_t, are on the bench.
What does Schmeichel know about Park Ji Sung? Watched PSV Eindhoven a lot did he? Park's had some great moments for United and some less-than-spectacular ones too. He's only just joined the effin' club, give him a chance. |

I agree with most of what has been said already. Park hasn't set Old Trafford alight since his arrival but he gives his all in every game, which is more than can be said for some other players at United.
He can dribble, pass, shoot and isn't afraid of getting stuck in. Sometimes I think he's trying too hard though. He has the headless chicken look about him.
I hope his goal can give him an extra spur now, he can relax a little and enjoy what he does. Hopefully he'll be banging them in for the rest of the season! |

| I think Park is an effective player in certain style matches. I wouldn't expect much from him against teams like Bolton or Blackburn though. |
