| Are withdrawal symptoms from caffeine a regular thing or something limited to just some people? I've never heard of this. |

CAFFEINE WITHDRAWAL RECOGNIZED AS A DISORDER - Johns Hopkins medicine
| Quote: |
| "Caffeine is the world's most commonly used stimulant, and it's cheap and readily available so people can maintain their use of caffeine quite easily," says Roland Griffiths, Ph.D., professor of psychiatry and neuroscience at Johns Hopkins. "The latest research demonstrates, however, that when people don't get their usual dose they can suffer a range of withdrawal symptoms, including headache, fatigue, difficulty concentrating. They may even feel like they have the flu with nausea and muscle pain." |

| If you are a big caffeine drinker and go cold turkey, you will definately experience some withdrawal symptoms. My big thing is tea, not coffee. How nice that rooibos tea is now widely available in Korea! |

Could be the answer to coffee-drinking
side effects. Coffee dehydrates us so
java-slurpers need to drink more water
to avoid those effects and most people won't
drink enough water anyway. |

I only drink one cup of coffee (admittedly, good strong Vietnamese beans) in the morning. If I miss that morning cup of coffee, by early afternoon the headache sets in. Weaning off that one last cup a day has been difficult- I just love coffee! I run out of my good beans in a couple of months, and I am not really fond of the expensive Starbucks stuff, so then I may quit.
Until I return to S.E. Asia in the summer. Argh! |

I am very fond of Starbucks Christmas/Holiday blend.
It's my favorite.
If expense is a barrier, try Kirkland
beans at Costco. Says on the package the beans are
roasted by Starbucks. Think they are the same beans
as Starbucks' House Blend at 1/4 the price. The money
I save on coffee and water there this year will pay for
the membership. |

Not the price (although it is obscene) but the flavor. I love the smooth deep Southeast Asian coffees. Of course, at $5-7 a kilo, the price in Southeast Asia is quite nice, too. |

I've been doing that for years.
Anyhow as of this morning the headaches are gone! Yeah!... |

Having my 3rd cup of Kirkland Espresso Blend right now.
Not a coffee snob. Instant, fresh-brewed, whatever. It's all rocket fuel to me. |

Baby.
I've been having two or three extra strong coffees every day for the last week or so and I could stop right now and feel no ill effects. |
