After a short time in South Korea, I'd like to name a few things I like.

1 - The coffee vending machines! One day I'll splash out and spend an extra 100 won on the 'deluxe' coffee.

2 - The sausage-in-pastry bakery items with pre-arranged cheese and tomato sauce and a few peas if you're lucky.

3 - The uniformed-girls at shopping centre carparks, who give a grand welcoming wave, and the solemn bow from the guys who direct the cars.

4 - The free samples at Carrefour.

5 - The giggling, rowdy kids.

6 - The sauna!

7 - Being a passenger in the traffic. It's kind of exciting after the initial terror.

That's about it for now.

One thing, though. I will NEVER buy pre-peeled garlic again.

Do tell. I buy this all the time. Is there a reason I shouldn't?

It stinks! I avoided opening my fridge for two days, until I could muster up the courage to open it and drop it into my legal garbage bag. Or...it could have been the beef mince that went off before I could cook it. I think it was a mixture of the two. Anyway, henceforth it's garlic WITH peel for me. Razz

I walk by a couple of these women every day on my way to the subway. The funny thing is, the micorphone they use doesn't turn off. One day as I was walking by, the incoming cars were being greeted by a nasty-sounding phlegmy cough. Elegant.

Hmmm.. I ride my bike around Incheon a lot. Double the terror means double the fun!
