This is about as good as advice I think I can give you. When you begin your first classes, don't use any book. Talk about where you are from, your family and anything personal you can think of. Bring lots of photos from home. Show them your passport, drivers license ect . Draw a map on the board and talk about your plane trip. Be positive. Then ask them simple questions "Like what is your Favorite blah blah blah. ? "
