Can anyone tell me anything about the dance scene in Seoul? I'm into swing dancing, salsa, ballroom stuff. Is there anywhere I can go?

Hey there,

You mentioning swing dance kinda tugged my heart strings a bit. I really miss that dance...and unfortunately the swing dance scene in korea is nonexistent. Salsa and merengue are big however, as is hip-hop. I'd like to find a venue for some argentine tango however word of mouth says its an underground type of club...meaning lessons are at his or her house on this or that night.

I'v done some searching and the only thing I found was a club that operated maybe 3 or 4 years ago but only had 11 members at its max. If you find something feel free to post as I too am interested.

The first link in this seems to be better:

http://wiki.galbijim.com/Special:Search?search=dance&fulltext=Search
http://wiki.galbijim.com/Special:Search?search=dancing&fulltext=Search
http://wiki.galbijim.com/Special:Search?search=salsa&go=Go

Information's still a bit lacking but most seem to have bar names and contact numbers. Last one is salsa and merengue. No idea what merengue is.
