Ok I've got a question for you denizens of daves

check out this ad :

http://www.eslcafe.com/jobs/korea/index.cgi?read=16310

Now here is my email correspondence with the school

OUT
-------
Dear Mr. Warner,

I saw the job ad you placed on daves and was wondering what the
start date for the position is? I am really interested in it and if the start
date works out for me I'll send over my resume, etc. ASAP. Hope to hear
from you soon.

Regards,

TiGrBaLm

IN
------
hi
i am director of oxford hagwon.
we need native speaker ASAP,but we can wait to february.
now, korean teacher teach the students instead of native speaker.
bye

Ok so why is the Korean teacher teaching the students rather than Mr. Warner? Did some sort of falling out happen here? Am I right to be concerned about this situation?

Maybe Mr Warner finished his contract & left. So a Korean teacher is covering his classes till they find a replacement. They'd like someone now but they can manage the vacation period themselves if they have to.

Thats my guess. I think youre reading too much into the poor english of the last line they wrote you.

Sounds like some nice incentives.

But I dont know. Its just an ad. Bet it gets snapped up pretty quick.

The school probably asked the previous foreign teacher to write an ad before they left to help them out.

And being a Korean hagwon they did not talk to Mark about re-signing until two weeks before his contract was up (they just assumed). Mark having already made other plans told them know he could not re-sign due to other arrangments and agreed to wrtite that for them since he felt a bit bad that they fucked themselves.
