Remember this guy? Anyone catch that he was one of the people chosen this year to ring the Boshingak bell?

Are you trying to access it with firefox? If so, use IE.

Never saw the video before. That kid deserves the honor far more than some businessman.

I'm totally appaled by the fact that the adult accompanying the kid wasn't paying attention to him, especially in a place where it's rather obvious that a kid can get lost or injured. I've got a two-year-old and you can be sure he's never able to get that far from me when there is the danger he might get lost or hurt.

I click on the link and here is what it says on the pop-up:
Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

What I like most about it is the kid moves like he does this every day, jumping onto the subway tracks and running across. The kid makes it look like he's just rushing down a few stairs. Most of us would have taken a lot more time to lower ourselves onto the tracks. And then he does a smart thing. He knows the subway is coming but he quickly realizes he doesn't have time to figure out if it will be easy to get back up onto the platform. So he runs back to the other side where he's sure there is no train coming. On the other side, the baby is okay, and he can take a few more moments to try and figure out how he's going to haul himself back onto the platform. The kid did everything right. Not like the stupid mother who was probably too busy with her text messaging...

He was also given free tuition for 4 years.
