I have to think of an idea for an open class. The class consists of 6 pretty-high-level, 12-year-old boys. I wanted to do it presentation style, but their Korean teacher wants me to think of something else, since they did one like that a long time ago. Neither they nor I would be willing to do too much singing or dancing. I need to think of something that shows off their English ability. This is my first open-class so any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks...

I don't know how much time you have. But our most successful open class had the kids give presentations about astronauts, the history of the space race, life in space, etc. They had fun and got to proclaim that there would soon be a Korean on the moon. I even gave them an unplanned pop quiz and to my surprise, they all aced it.

That sounds fun but I was asked to think of something that wasn't presentations. I already had a good idea for the presentation thing, but their head K-teacher told me that she wanted something else when she found out I was doing one. I'm still going to push to do presentations when I talk to the big boss again, but I need some other ideas just in case.

I like the game show style. You make teams and do it like a game show quiz with points. Competition always makes people more excited.
