I see he's been ordered by the military not to give any more statements to the press. Can they do that?
I think he's allowed to give an official one tomorrow though.

To me, having guts means knowing the dangers and going ahead anyway. I don't think this kid had the slightest clue what he was getting himself into. He is very naive in my opinion. Maybe they're exaggerating the danger a bit when they he "probably would have been killed" if the border had been open when he tried to cross in from Kuwait, but I still don't think he didn't have much to worry about. If the wrong people found out he was wandering the streets alone, word would get around and we'd be watching him on a home video on Al-Jazeera with a sword to his throat. All of the journalist are holed up in a high-security "green zone". Where was this kid planning to sleep? I think he would have been safer wearing a "white power" T-shirt in Compton.
