i saw that AFN is carrying this game live on
Wednesday at 10am.
anyone can provide some ideas on any bars in Seoul area
that would be likely to show it? |

The USO
Though its not exactly a bar, per say.
But I do know that alot of bars in songtan will be airing it.
It's about a 50 minute subway ride on the Rapid Train. |

No question about that-what a stupid game for the Orange bowl which usually has good matchups but that's what happens with conference champs getting berths instead of top ranked teams. Fla State is 8-4 and ranked 22 Penn St 10-1 ranked #3 and their only loss was 2pts to Michigan. Even though it's college ball where sh!t can happen, no way does Penn lose this one |

Sorry to say this but I don't they are showing it. They didn't show the Fiesta Bowl or the Sugar Bowl.
Its likely on AFN Sports which means you will have to go to the USO to see it since you need an AFN dish to get it.
Given how AFN Prime is now not showing the major sporting events you might want to get somebody in the states to invest in a slingbox. Its how I watched the Fiesta Bowl and now the Sugar Bowl |

So do the slingboxes work in Korea OK? Are you saying you can get any broadcast from anywhere in the world on your PC hooked up to any cable system in the world? That's awesome |

Chiaa is the expert on this. You get somebody in the states to hook it up to their tv which is in turn hooked up to a computer that is online. You then d/l software and input some info and you are in business |

They aren't, the only BCS game AFN Prime is showing is the Rose Bowl Thurs 10AM. You either need to go to USO, have somebody let you on base to watch or pray streamtv is working
I haven't seen an ad for the Orange Bowl in weeks. If they carry it great, but don't hold your breath.
I'm also hearing they may shift the NFL playoffs and the Super Bowl to AFN Sports in order to get the GIs to buy the dish.
Another rumor I heard was the US Dish TV network was going in with AFRTS to give a broader range of channels. If that happens kiss AFN Prime over the air or on Korean cable goodbye. I'm suprised it hasn't been taken off the airwaves yet given the technologies. In Japan they don't have it over the air or on Japanese cable systems |
