I used to keep a link to Weezer's "Island in the Sun" (Spike Jonze version) on my desktop for when I was feeling blue.
Actually, anything by Spike Jonze is outstanding. He directed a bunch of Beastie Boys and Fat Boy Slim videos, and if you haven't seen Christopher Walken dance, then you're missing out, my friend. |

Hey,
One of my favourite bands is called Sigur Ros, they're from Iceland. If you're only into mainstream music then you probably won't like them all that much. They sing in Icelandic, so if listening to non-English music is not your thing, then again, they're probably not for you.
I saw them in Toronto in the fall and the show was simply amazing. Anyway, I find that their videos are very well done and each video really seems to fit the mood of the song exactly. Here are some of my favourites. Great music for unwinding, thinking, etc.
Sigur Ros Videos:
virar vel til loftarasa(Good Weather for an Airstrike)
Glosoli(Glowing Soles)
Untitled number 1 a.ka. Vaka
If you have time, check them out online. I'd be interested in knowing what you think.

Just - radiohead... just liked it...and i think no surprises as well (the one where he get's drowneded in water almost like?...just a bit dull for a while.
sabatage - beastie boys
strange animal gowan - covers himself in gooey something or other? that's all it takes for me.
lithium - nirvana....come OOOONNNN!!! How could that have not yet been said.
some chemical brothers video (could someone tell me what it is?) It's the one that's almost Escher like in that every thing is morphs into something else. It's pretty intense...and i'd really like to watch it all messed up on stuff (back home of course...)

if your ONLY into mainstream music, there is a LOT of music you won't like... of course, arguing about what is mainstream becomes silly.
anyways...
metric - Succexy . I wouldn't say the video is AMAZING but DAMN that band is SOOO good. You cats gotta check them out! |

Forgive me, don't know his name, but.."You're Beautiful."
Where the guy's on the pier and takes everything out of his pockets and arranges them nicely in front of him while sitting crosslegged, then proceeds to jump off the pier. A long ways down, too.
Good song, but don't know his name. |

Rufus Wainwright's video for "April Fool's" was compelling. He runs from damsel to damsel, trying to save these elaborately costumed babes from offing themselves. I've heard a rumour that Gwen Stefani was in it.
It's cute, and so is he. I haven't had any luck finding his videos online though, so I nabbed a photo from his website to support the claim re: his cuteness.
