Of course. If these skinny legs of mine can squat nearly 500lbs, I'd say that guy isn't the only one who can do 1000lbs.

I don't know the specific rules of James Searcy's powerlifting federation but they can vary in their rules regarding squat depth. Squatting a heavy weight to thighs barely or not quite parallel with the floor is one thing, squatting arse to the floor is another.

1000 pound squats of any kind, heck, just walking out of the rack with it, are amazing though in my book. And I do think that they can be done without drugs.

I have to wonder though, if Searcy is lifting this much without even using a power suit, why not go to the IPF, the world's most prestigious powerlifting federation, and win their world championship? The IPF is drug tested too, and has more resources to actually follow through with it rather than test once a year at a meet and claim to be a drug free organization.

Dang, I thought this was about trying to take that extra large cannonball sized dump where only a lengthy squat will get it out......

I hate it when that happens!

of course. When I was avidly excersizing, I could leg press nearly 600lbs and squat close to 400lbs (I am only 5'7" tall and used to weigh 160 at the time).

I'm about the same height as you, but I think I'm a bit stockier. I weigh about 185 when I excercise a bit more regularly than I do now (those deadlifts sure work). I can usually do 700 pounds of leg press when I haven't worked out for a while, and a hundred or so more when I do (seems much, but most female pro volleyball players can do twice that).

I don't think coke and steroids have a lot in common. I used to have a friend who had a dog on some kind of medication. He used to take the meds down to the local gym and sell them to the powerlifters. I feel sorry for the dog.
Gotta go do breakfast on a mirror. See ya.

I thought he was going to accidentally poo himself or something- that was well dull.
