Agreed. But is that a boss screwing a teacher over or, all too often, a school owner doing business like it is done in Korea where overtime is not always paid time in a company?
I was a teacher back home (Canada) and grading was not paid...meaning we graded papers on our own time. These little "extras" are part of teaching in most places sadly. Most teachers I worked with did prep at home as well, unpaid. |

My parents were both teachers back home, and yes they did some unpaid prep at home.........sometimes but not that often.
They also got 2 months off in summer (paid), weeks at Christmas, a week at Easter and spring break .... more or less.
They also got paid regularly and didn't have to worry if the school would fold next month. |
