I just got home from the mountains and English camp and clasped my eyes on the news....Nice remembrance of the bard at http://www.theglobeandmail.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/TPStory/LAC/20060105/OBAYTON05/TPObituaries/?query=irving+layton
I know many might not even think his death worth mentioning but he always was the man who said things plainly and who stood up and said, "the emperor has no clothes". I had a few years of letter writing with him and his short notes are precious to me.
I will honour him by doing the only things I know he would appreciate, contemplation and copulation. I'll pour some Bacchus juice and reread his Grand Finale and when my girl appears, throw down a raincoat and go roughly to it......
Good bye Irving.
