Ok, so every year, my kindergarteners have to put on some huge presentation for the parents. The school goes all out - rents a small theatre/stage, parents come in the evening all dressed up, with flowers for the children, etc.....

In total, the presentation has to be 45 minutes long. Horrendous, when you're dealing with 6 year olds. In the past, I've done different plays, some songs, and interviews. All of which went alright, although I considered them terrible at the time.

Problem?? This year, I can't think of anything. Its their third year of kindergarten, and their English is pretty good - so it needs to be spectacular (bosses words, not mine!!).

Anyone with any grand ideas??? Please help!!! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! Oh yeah, the school rents all the costumes, etc...so the bigger the idea, the better!!!

God I know how that feels. The last 4 months felt like an open day. If its not a theme day, its a special day, or some play.

Last year, I picked the jungle/animal theme. We did 'the lion sleeps tonight', as well as small play (loosely based on the enormous turnip) and then we did animal interviews - and one more song - that I can't remember.

The year before, it was completely crap. I did a really bad play, and all children's songs. It was terrible.

I think I've decided to do a space theme this year, coinciding with 'save the earth' - but not sure yet and would love some feedback!!

I'm definitely singing pop songs!

How about an abriged version of David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross. Let the little tackers' American-English skills really shine.
