Yeh, so... I already know asking a medical question on the Internet is similar to loading a revolver with 6 bullets and playing russian roulette... but it'll be about two days before I can get ahold of my doctor and I'm not neurotic enough to go see a Korean one just yet.

Anywhoots, as of late, perhaps the last two (maybe three) days I have been waking up with a very heavy heartbeat... it seems to be racing as if I just got done running, but thats not quite accurate. More or less it is just a very heavy beat, that will occassionally beat quickly and then stop... only to repeat the process after a few minutes. I also have a dead dry mouth when this happens.

I should note that is ONLY occuring in the morning when I wake up, and the last few days have been bar nights, so I'm waiting until tomorrow morning to determine if its more serious than just an alcohol related irregularity.

Also, of possible cause, each time it has occurred I've been dreaming... can't remember what the dreams are, but they were definately of a stressful nature and I only wake out of them because of the heart beat.

No chest pains or anything like that, and as I said it goes away very quickly after I get out of bed (but it does continue if I stay in bed to go back to sleep)... just wondering if anyone, with a medical background beyond that of an English major, could tell me if this is something highly serious or not.
