I was wondering if anyone could give some useful links about teaching in Korea or a site which would have helpful to you before you came to Korea.

Thank you

I am looking at a site which might give a bit of insight about what it is like to teach or what to expect in Korea. Maybe even describe what a hogwan is like.

Cheers

Theres lots of stuff out there but no definitive site. Surf widely & intuitively & you'll read the good, the bad, & the ugly of it. A balanced overview is your best prep.

My best advice: be positive but not naive; be cautious but not paranoid.

I found this blog helped me understand Korea and teaching in Korea, before I came here.

http://korealife.blogspot.com/

It's no longer updated as the author isn't in Korea, but the archives are still there. I found it rather informative, entertaining and well written.

Thanks Jay-shi for the blog.

You know Rousseau said almost the exact same thing as the quote in your signature. I wonder who said it first?
