Sorry Kermo, couldn't resist.

Alright, to ease off some of the holy jihads of late, lets it take down a couple notches and talk about the muppets or other cartoons you loved as a kid.

Crying or Very sad

My sister had a beautiful shirt made for me (she ordered one but couldn't get it in time for Christmas):

I APPRECIATE THE MUPPETS ON A MUCH DEEPER LEVEL THAN YOU

That was amusing, and I agree about trying to take some of the (un)holy wars breaking out on this board down a notch.

On another note ...

I think that we should take this video with a grain of salt.

How do we know that Elmo is a credible witness?

Notice how he only describes the destruction in general terms, without giving any specifics beyond: "The whole thing just got destroyed."

Is he really a friend of Big Bird, as he claims?

Perhaps he has an agenda.

Could he be being used by lobbyist of some kind?

I think we should get the Veep Dickless Cheney to strap up old Tickle my nipples Elmo to a pair of jumper cables and light him up like an Iraqi POW. Never take a soft stance with these aggitators you always got to be firm, fair, and ruthless with these here fellows.

I personally really liked the "Muppet's 3-D Vision" thing at the Disney-MGM theme park in Orlando (saw it a bunch of times whenever relatives with kids visited Florida - not sure they still have it 'cause it featured "Miss Piggy" a lot ...)

As for other cartoons I was into as a kid: "Rocky and Bullwinkle" was probably the most interesting because of its witty cold-war era satire. "The Flintstones" were good - like an animated "Honeymooners" set in the stone age... And "Popeye" was a good role-model (for eating right) 'cause apparently he only ate spinach (even if it was out of a can...)
